Peter Stephan was born in New York where he has lived for the past thirty-five years. He is a successful restaurateur with over 30 years of achievement in restaurant design, management and new restaurant openings.

Stephan studied at the Paris-Sorbonne University, the first university in the world, where he pursued his interests in architecture, design and languages. As a natural extension of his work in restaurants, he would start his own general contracting company, Stephan Designs, focusing primarily on residential and restaurant projects.

Stephan Designs stands out from other general contractors because of the way we do business. NYC is my home and I have worked closely with Co-op and Condo boards in NYC, management companies and the like. We know and understand the documentation process, insurances and the idiosyncratic personality and challenges that each project presents.  We will walk you through this process every step of the way.

Stephan Designs in partnership with JHF Enterprises provide custom millwork, upholstering, architectural metal work, and sourcing of rare and unusual artifacts.  We are artists, designers, builders, craftsman, engineers, mill workers, inventors, fabricators, painters, welders, photographers, antique collectors, etc.
